Not only photography on land, but also underwater photography, has gone through a revolution since the introduction of digital cameras. You can now expect that a third or more of the clients in a dive center have their own digital underwater camera with them and are trying to take pictures of what they see underwater. More often than not, the pictures do not come out the way they were intended and you are probably the first they will ask for advice how to do it better.
Another reason to be a specialist in underwater photography is taking your own pictures. You can take pictures of participants in introduction dives and give or sell them to the participants, you can take the pictures for your own web pages and brochures and maybe you will just want to take pictures as a hobby.
The first 4 days are the "standard" Instructor courses for Digital Underwater Photography level 1, 2 and 3. Details on these courses are available under www.instructor-training.com/digitalE.asp.
Day 5 is especially for the VIP candidates. This day will start with the commercial options underwater photography has to offer. We will take a look at integrating underwater photography in courses and introduction dives and how to prepare the pictures to hand (sell) these to the participants. We will also teach you how to create a self starting CD-ROM for your clients and other manners to use your photography skills as a tool for increased success in your work in the diving industry. The remainder of this last day of the course will be dedicated to photography equipment knowledge.
The photography module is supported by an Instructor Kit from PADI and an Instructor Kit from Scuba Publications, which provide you with all the needed tools to teach photo courses in the future.
At the end of this module you will receive the following credentials: PADI Underwater Photography Instructor Level 1 & 2, Distinctive Underwater Photography Instructor Level 3.
