Phase 3 |
|
Phase 3 is the “core” of the VIP Instructor program. Many companies in the diving industry have helped to put this program into place. Similar programs were offered in the past by the PADI International College, the PADI European College and other PADI owned colleges, but since they closed in the early nineties, there is no other location in the world that offers a program that can be compared with the VIP Phase 3 at the Instructor Training College in Cannes. When the PADI Colleges closed, there was simply no single entity left in the diving industry that had the necessary infrastructure, industry support , equipment and knowledgeable staff combined within a single institution.
Phase 3 consists of 7 one week modules. Each module is dedicated to one or more aspects of the work of a diving professional. You can click on the buttons below to take a look at what you are going to be doing and learning in each of the modules and to print a detailed course schedule. |

During Phase 3, the candidates have off during the weekends. Those who want are welcome to spend the weekend at the Instructor Training College to improve their language skills. Especially for our VIP candidates we installed interactive and diving specific language programs on the classroom computers. Candidates have the choice between German, English, French and Dutch. The language training is optional and is a free of charge service.
We do accept instructors who want to participate in just one or two modules from the VIP program, but those who want to become “VIP Instructor” must complete all seven modules of Phase 3, regardless of their certification level. |

This is the material package for Phase 3 of the VIP Instructor
Curriculum. The materials you receive are not only for the course, but are also meant to teach the 20 specialty courses you are qualified for at the completion of the VIP course. For most of these courses you will receive CD-ROMs with PowerPoint presentations for your theory presentations. The set of materials is available in English, French, German or Dutch. |
